What is involved in the Chiropractic Initial Consultation?

During your first visit, we’ll take the time to listen to your symptoms and health concerns in a private and supportive setting. A comprehensive assessment: including neurological, spinal, and orthopaedic testing, this will help us identify the underlying cause of your issue. If needed, we may recommend x-rays to gather more information.

Once the assessment is complete, we’ll explain our findings and discuss how we can support you in achieving your health goals. If we believe further investigation is needed or that another healthcare provider is better suited to assist you, we’ll let you know. If you’re comfortable with the treatment options we offer, care will usually begin during your initial consultation.

Will I be sent for Imaging (e.g. X-ray)?

A full history and physical examination will help determine if any further imaging is necessary. If required, we can refer you to a nearby x-ray facility or one of your choice. Most x-rays are eligible to be bulk-billed. In most cases, you may be sent for x-ray s if there is evidence of significant trauma or notable postural concerns. If you have any previous x-rays or scans, please bring them along to your initial appointment for review.
